Off-leash Dog Park

Photo courtesy of the GGF Convention & Visitors Bureau
The Greenway literally has something for everyone! Bring Fido down to the off-leash dog park in Lincoln Drive Park (west of Belmont Road and 13th Avenue South).  The park offers dog owners a safe, legal opportunity to exercise their pet off leash with the city limits. Two fenced areas accommodate both small and large dogs.

Park hours are 5:00AM-11:00PM

Rules and Regulations

Use the dog park at your own risk. Owners are legally responsible for their dogs, and injuries caused by them.
  • Dogs are allowed off leash in dog areas only! Owners must carry a leash at all
times. Dogs should be leashed before entering and prior to leaving the park.
  • Dogs must wear a collar w/ID tags, be properly licensed and vaccinated, well
groomed (i.e. parasite free), and in good health.
  • Owners must remain in the dog park with their dog at all times.
  • Dogs must be leashed when maintenance crews are working in the park.
  • Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult at ALL times.
  • Owners are required to pick up and properly dispose of their dogs waste.
  • Female dogs in heat, unneutered dogs, and dogs less than 4 months of age are prohibited from entering the dog park.
  • Dogs must be removed at the first sign of aggression. This includes, but is not limited to, growling, mounting other dogs, or excessive barking.
  • Violators of these rules will be subject to removal from the
dog park, and possible suspension of park privileges.

Funding for this project was provided by the City of Grand Forks and the Grand Forks Park District and Roaming
    Paws Dog Park advocacy group
