Cross-country skiing in the Greenway

Outdoor recreation in the Greenway doesn’t stop when the snow starts to fly. The Greenway has over 8 miles of groomed cross-country ski trails. The best places to access the trails are:
  •       Riverside Dam parking lot (just off Red Dot Place)
  •       The warming house in Riverside Park (free skis, snowshoes, and skates are available for use during warming house hours. Check hours at www.gfparks.org )
  •       7th Avenue North access
  •       Lower parking lot north of the Sorlie Bridge downtown
  •       Lincoln Drive Park (free skis, snowshoes, and skates are available for use during warming house hours. Check hours at www.gfparks.org  )
  •       Lincoln golf clubhouse
  •       Elmwood access (off 32nd Avenue South)
  •       Sunbeam access (3777 Belmont Road)
  •       47th Avenue South
Look for the blue ski signs.
A double classic ski trail is available in Lincoln Drive Park. For those who like to venture into the woods and beyond, a classic ski trail follows the length of the Greenway from Riverside Dam to 62nd Avenue South. A solid pack trail is also available adjacent to the classic ski trail for those who prefer to walk, snowshoe, or bike.
  • All dogs are required to be on a leash.
  • Pet owners must cleanup after their pet and dispose of the waste in a proper container.
  • Do not walk on the groomed classic ski trail.
